My first outdoor art show is complete. The art show was the Chalk It Up Art Show on Meridian Blvd in Franklin, TN, which is in the Cool Springs area of Franklin. There were so many great artists there.
What makes this art show unique is all the artists have to participate in a sidewalk chalk drawing contest. I drew a seahorse and octopus.
I did not win the contest. But maybe next time I will spend more time on it. I was really focused on talking with people since it was my first show. I met a lot of really cool people and learned a lot.
Thank you to my husband Tez for sitting there with me all day and helping me set up. And thank you to Kurt for helping set up. And of course, thank you to all who came out and supported the local art scene.
I learned a lot at this show and I have a lot of new ideas. I am pumped about my next show on August 9 at the Tomato Arts Festival in East Nashville. Until then I will be busy in the studio making new stuff for you all to check out.
I'm Jackie, an artist, illustrator, and friend to ghosts, monsters, and aliens. This blog is full of DIY projects, stories, and things I think are cool. Stay weird.
